Job DescriptionAs an Advanced R&D Engineer/Scientist here at Honeywell, you will engage in cutting-edge research and development activities that push the boundaries of technology and innovation. You will leverage your expertise to design, develop, and implement advanced solutions that address complex challenges within the aerospace sector.
You will report directly to our Senior Engineering Manager, and you'll work out of our Minneapolis or Plymouth, MN site locations on a Hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise on a variety of projects and programs for exciting new technologies in the field of Alternative Position, Navigation, and Timing Systems. You will use your expert knowledge of navigation systems, engineering discipline and standards, as well as processes and tools to complete and ensure compliance of various projects. You are the point of contact for external customers, and you may participate in development of new business opportunities and product lines.

QualificationsYOU MUST HAVE- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
- Research & Development experience with Navigation Systems
WE VALUE- Master's Degree or PhD in Engineering
- Knowledge of Inertial, GPS, or Alternative PNT sensors
- Navigation algorithm development
- Understanding of industry standards and security practices
- Highly skilled in C/C++, MATLAB, ROS
- Experience with OpenCV, Ubuntu, Python, GDAL, CUDA
- Ability to work independently
- An open, honest and team-oriented personality
- Ability to lead, motivate, develop and mentor others
- Significant experience in engineering field
- Experience with new product and technology development in a highly regulated environment
- Ability to analyze and solve complex and challenging problems
- Track record of successful contribution to products & projects
- Experience with technical journal publications and research proposals
The annual base salary range for this position is $115,000 - $144,200. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
