Reliable Health Care Services is seeking a skilled and dedicated
Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to provide high-quality, evidence-based medical care within a correctional health care environment. The APRN will deliver comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, and treatment to adult inmates at
Lovelock Correctional Center in Lovelock, Nevada.
Responsibilities Include:- Conduct comprehensive health assessments, physical exams, and develop individualized care plans.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses within the scope of licensure.
- Prescribe medications and therapeutic interventions in accordance with state regulations and facility policy.
- Provide patient education regarding disease prevention, medication adherence, and overall wellness
- Collaborate with correctional medical staff, nursing teams, and mental health professionals to ensure continuity of care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation consistent with clinical and facility standards
- Adhere to infection control, safety, and security procedures at all times.
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, quality improvement initiatives, and training programs
- Perform emergency care and triage as necessary in alignment with facility protocols
- Ensure compliance with NDOC and Reliable Health Care Services standards of care, confidentiality, and professional ethics
- Participate in annual competency evaluations and maintain continuing education requirements to sustain licensure.
Minimum Qualifications:- Current Nevada APRN license in good standing
- Current DEA registration and Nevada Board of Pharmacy License
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an APRN or Nurse Practitioner, preferably in correctional, urgent care, primary care, or acute settings
- BLS certification (American Heart Association required)
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary and high-security environment
- Knowledge of correctional health standards, including NCCHC (National Commission on Correctional Health Care) or ACA (American Correctional Association) guidelines, preferred
- Must be able to pass the Nevada Department of Corrections (NDOC) background clearance and Reliable credentialing requirements
