The division of pulmonary and critical care is looking for acute care nurse practitioners and PA's who have a desire to work in three exciting areas. There will be one APP deployed in each area daily. The first is the MICU where you will provide critical care to acutely ill medicine patients rounding with an attending and a resident team. The second location is a six bed medical stepdown run with an attending and an APP. The third area is the code white/sepsis team where you will respond to alerts throughout the hospital as a provider with a nursing team working with you. These alerts are as follows: code white, code sepsis, code blue, code stroke. New grads will be considered for the New Grad Training Program. A Brief Overview The Advanced Practice Provider is responsible for providing quality care for patients and increasing patient access and satisfaction. Standard tasks to be performed by a Nurse Practitioner as specified by the Ohio State Nursing Board and UH entity specific Medical Bylaws

Qualifications:Education - Master's Degree from an accredited PA educational program (Required)
- (MSN) Master's Degree in Nursing (Required)
Work Experience - 1+ years as an Advanced Practice Provider (Preferred)
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities - Demonstrated leadership skills. (Required proficiency)
- Demonstrated skills in interpersonal relationships. (Required proficiency)
- Computer skills to access patient medical data from UHHS mainframe. (Required proficiency)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook. (Required proficiency)
Licenses and Certifications Physician Assistant: - Physician Assistant (PA) (Required) and
- Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required) and
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (Preferred)
- Passed the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (Required) and
- Practice with a supervising physician (Required Upon Hire) and
- Maintain national PA Certification (Required)
Nurse Practitioner: - Registered Nurse (RN), Ohio and/or Multi State Compact License (Required)
