Hematology Advanced Practice Provider - Inpatient & OutpatientRush University Medical CenterChicago, ILDepartment/division specs• Four fellow inpatient Hematology APPs
• One Hematologist and one Hematology Hospitalist on the inpatient service
• Work alongside six Hematologists and six fellow Advanced Practice Providers in the outpatient clinic
Duties & Responsibilities• Four-day, 10-hour shift schedule (days only)
• Rotational weekend coverage (days only)
• Reports to the Cancer Center APP Manager
• 50% inpatient Hematology, 50% outpatient Hematology
• Alternate 4-week schedule blocks between the Inpatient Hematology service and outpatient clinic
- Outpatient clinic will support classical hematology visits and bone marrow biopsy procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:• Applicants with previous Advanced Practice Provider experience in Hematology or other Cancer-related specialty is preferred.
• APRN Candidates will require Acute Care Certification.
Position Requirements:Nurse Practitioner:
• Current licensure from the State of Illinois as a Registered Professional Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse or eligible to obtain a licensure through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) application process
• Master of Science in Nursing or Doctorate of Nursing practice with clinical specialty appropriate to position
• Current certification by American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioner (AANP)
• CPR and ACLS certifications
Physician Assistant:
• Current licensure from the State of Illinois as a Physician Assistant/Associate or eligible to obtain a licensure through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) application process
• Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant/Associate Program
• Current certification from National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
• CPR and ACLS certifications
The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will promote collaboration between multiple disciplines to ensure cost effective and quality patient care. The individual who holds this position will exemplify the Rush mission, vision and values and act in accordance with the policies, procedures, guidelines of Rush, including the Rush Medical Group Customer Service standards. Successful candidates will also meet all other state and federal regulatory practice and accreditation standards.

The total pay range shown reflects the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, specialty; relevant experience and training; and other business and organizational factors.
This total pay range is for a full-time, 1.0 FTE employee, and includes any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role. Additional compensation may include premium pay rates, sign-on bonuses, and relocation allowances. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package.
Pay Range: $124,000 - $175,000
