The Fred Hutch Gastroenterology Service is one of the few gastroenterology consultant practices in the country embedded within a NCI-recognized Comprehensive Cancer Center, with a diverse practice including prevention, diagnosis and endoscopic therapy of GI cancers, comprehensive screening programs for familial GI cancers, evaluation and management of GI and liver diseases arising in patients receiving hematopoietic stem cell transplants, chemo-, radio- and immune-oncology therapies, and consultation for general GI and liver conditions in the Fred Hutch oncology and benign hematology populations.
ResponsibilitiesThe Gastroenterology Advanced Practice Provider (APP) (1.0 FTE) provides care for oncology and hematology patients in the outpatient setting. This individual will be a member of the GI consult service that sees all Fred Hutch patients at the Sloan SLU outpatient ambulatory facility. They will work with the GI physicians and GI clinic nurse. Primary responsibilities include initial evaluation, physical examinations, development of a treatment plan, progress notes, and ongoing follow up of patients on whom a GI consult has been requested, either in person or by telemedicine. The annual base salary range for this position is from $131,000 to $201,456, and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.Although Fred Hutch is not sponsoring most H-1B visas at this time, candidates who already hold an H-1B sponsored by another organization and are currently in the U.S. may be eligible for this position.
