Overview: We are looking for a Registered Nurse Practitioner or Certified Physician's Assistant to support our Women's Breast Centers in Phoenix, Goodyear, and Scottsdale locations. Oncology experience or related experience is required. The Registered Nurse Practitioner or PAC-C will maintain a cohesive working relationship with the collaborating physician. This position is primarily clinic based providing patient care, however, may require some hospital activities including possible support in the operating room assisting the surgeon.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Collaborating with physicians and other health professionals as needed.
  • Counseling and educating patients on health behaviors, self-care skills, and treatment options.
  • In a collaborate manner with physician treat and monitoring chronic diseases, hematologic conditions and side effects of chemotherapy.
  • Obtaining medical histories and conducting physical examinations.
  • Ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic studies (e.g., lab tests, x-rays, EKGs) with the supervision of the collaborating physician.
  • Prescribing medications.
  • Prescribing physical therapy and other rehabilitation treatments.
  • Providing Survivorship directives for patients.
  • Hospital work & call schedule required

Knowledge & Skills:
  • Desire to work in a women's health center clinical setting.
  • Ability to work closely in a team setting and work together with physicians to see all patients in a timely fashion.
  • Inquisitive manner and ability to adapt
  • Able to organize and prioritize work.
  • Must possess the ability to learn quickly and absorb a great deal of information.
  • Ability to use office equipment, computer.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5 years RN experience preferably women's healthcare experience.

Required Education and Experience

  • Registered Nurse Practitioner or Certified Physician Assistant licensed to work in the State of Arizona.
  • Minimum 3 years as licensed and practicing NP/PA experience
  • ACLS/BLS certification.
  • Experience in women's healthcare or related field.

Required Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
  • Current license through the State of Arizona
