The
Medical College of Wisconsin's Department of Urology is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to provide primary or specialty medical care within the hybrid setting. This position is located in
Milwaukee, WI at our Froedtert Hospital main campus site. The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) works as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team who will contribute to excellence in program administration, patient care, patient safety, research, quality improvement, and teaching.
Position Highlights:- Full-time position within the Urology Department.
- Hybrid role combining urology procedures with both inpatient and outpatient clinical care responsibilities.

Schedule: - 5 Days per week.
- No weekend or holidays.
- No call.
- 40 hours per week with 8-hour shifts.
Department/Division Highlights:Largest urology residency program in Wisconsin, with exposure to highly diverse patient populations across urban, suburban, rural, VA, pediatric, tertiary, and community settings. Residents rotate through Froedtert Hospital, Children's Wisconsin, the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center, and community hospitals
- Comprehensive subspecialty coverage with fellowship-trained experts across essentially every major area of urology, including:
- Urologic oncology.
- Robotics/laparoscopy.
- Female pelvic medicine & reconstructive urology.
- Stone disease/endourology.
- Infertility and andrology.
- Pediatric urology.
- Sexual dysfunction.
- Neurourology and voiding dysfunction.
- Reconstructive urology.
- Strong robotic and minimally invasive surgery culture. MCW has emphasized robotic education and advanced surgical innovation for years, including resident-funded advanced training experiences in robotic kidney surgery, robotic microsurgery, robotic urinary diversion, MRI-fusion biopsy, and focal therapy techniques.
- Rare balance between academic medicine and practical clinical autonomy. Many elite academic programs are highly subspecialized and narrowly tertiary-care focused. MCW combines tertiary/quaternary care with meaningful community urology exposure, helping trainees become comfortable in both academic and private-practice environments.

Compared with some very large coastal academic programs, MCW's department size allows residents and junior faculty to work closely with senior faculty leaders while still maintaining strong subspecialty breadth. Qualifications:Preferred Experience: - Previous APP Urology experience preferred.
- Open to new grads or experienced APP's.
Minimum Education:- Advanced Practice Registered Nurse: Master's Degree or higher in Nursing from a nationally accredited organization.
- Physician Assistant: Bachelor's Degree or higher in Physician Assistant Studies from an ARC-PA-accredited organization.
Minimum Requirements:- BLS Certified (American Heart Association Basic Life Support)

- Advanced Practice Registered Nurse:
- Nurse Practitioner Certification from a nationally accredited professional nursing organization or historical certification equivalent
- Adult-Gerontology Acute Care NP (AGACNP)
- Adult-Gerontology Primary Care NP (AGPCNP)
- Family NP (FNP)
- Physician Assistant:
- Wisconsin Physician Assistant License
- Certification by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
