Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Plastics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline (Master's or PhD preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in materials development, processing, or advanced manufacturing, preferably in electronics/interconnect industry.
• Curiosity-driven mindset focused on innovation and emerging technologies.
• Proficient in solid modeling tools such as Creo, SolidWorks, or NX.
• Familiarity with polymer flow software like Moldflow, Sigmasoft, and Moldex 3D is advantageous.
• Hands-on experience with materials characterization techniques (e.g., SEM, DSC, TGA, DMA, FTIR).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills linking material properties to performance.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess new materials and processes to support the technology roadmap.
• Conduct lab and pilot-scale experiments to validate emerging technologies for next generation designs.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for materials-related product and process issues.
• Support material characterization, reliability testing, and performance benchmarking.
• Collaborate with various teams to translate material challenges into manufacturable solutions.
• Engage in early-stage concept development capturing design needs and cost-reduction opportunities.
• Interface with suppliers and research organizations to evaluate emerging material and process technologies.
