Job Description

  • The candidate will be a member of a multi-site K&S team that develops and sustains semiconductor assembly equipment.
  • The successful incumbent will be responsible designing, developing, modifying, and evaluating electronic parts, components or integrated circuitry for Semiconductor Equipment, or other hardware systems and/or electrical engineering applications. In addition, the candidate will determine design approaches and parameters. Analyze equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests and evaluate results. Select components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability. May also review vendor capability to support product development.


Responsibilities

  • Design, integration, and debug of industrial automation and controls that use motors, solenoids, switches, and sensors combined with microcontrollers, microprocessors, and FPGAs
  • Designing analog electronics for processing analog signals including OP Amps. ADCs, and DACs, gain & filter stages, sensors and encoders feedback
  • Designing digital logic using FPGAs (Altera Cyclone family preferred), DSP, PCIe, Ethernet, EtherCAT, and LVDS will be an advantage
  • Design of cabling and interconnections between electronics modules
  • Structuring of parts within an assembly BOM and at the system level
  • Write code for debug of embedded controls
  • Work with design tools such as: Altium Schematic and PCB layout, Zuken E3 Cable, TeamCenter
  • Perform systematic troubleshooting and improvement on new/existing Electrical design
  • Support production/field issue with respect to system/subsystem related problem as a team within cross functional group


Qualifications

Knowledge & Experience requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience
  • Knowledge of motion control electronic hardware design
  • Knowledge of power, analog and digital circuitry PCBA design
  • Experience with Schematic / PCB layout using Altium / Cable design using E3 or other CAD software will be an added advantage
  • Knowledge of position-loop PID control is a plus
  • Knowledge of machine level electrical system architecture design is a plus


Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's in electrical or Electrical or Computer Engineering. Master's degree preferred
