Full Job Description
The Advanced Development Engineer is responsible for leading the end-to-end development of innovative product concepts from ideation through to handoff for commercialization. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong technical expertise, capable of navigating ambiguity, driving innovation, and aligning engineering solutions with business and customer needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead Innovation: Identify and define new product opportunities and enhancements based on market/technological trends, customer, and legislative needs.
  • Develop and Validate Concepts: Create, analyze, and test innovative concepts using engineering tools and prototypes.
  • Lead internal teams and external partners to align development with business goals.
  • Lead Incubator Session Process: Assemble and guide cross-functional discussions to generate new ideas and solutions, and follow up to implementation
  • Manage Projects: Oversee advanced development projects from concept to handoff, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
  • Engage Customers: Interface with customers to generate excitement, gather feedback and refine concepts to meet their needs.
  • Support IP and Technology Strategy: Contribute to patent filings and stay current with emerging technologies.
  • Transfer Knowledge: Deliver complete technical and marketing handoff packages to Product Engineering and Sales.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years in an automotive manufacturing environment, preferably in product development.
  • Strong analytical creativity skills
