Base pay in range will be determined by applicant's skills and experience. Full-time associates in role are also eligible for an annual bonus incentive. Temporary associates are not benefits eligible but may participate in the company's 401(k) program.

Responsibilities

The Director, Advanced Analytics will identify and work on high-impact business problems and develop viable solutions through data analysis, predictive modeling, and advanced analytics techniques. The director will work closely with teams across the company including other Analytics team members, Marketing, Operations, and Finance.
  1. Performs large-scale data analysis and develops effective statistical models for prediction, segmentation, classification, optimization, time series, etc.
  2. Builds models using standard advanced statistical techniques - such as logistic regression, multi-nomial regression, CHAID, and clustering analysis
  3. Identifies actionable insights, suggest recommendations and influence the direction of the business by effectively communicating results to cross functional groups.
  4. Works closely with cross-functional teams to proactively create business rules, deploy analytics, and manage decisions.
  5. Handles data preparation, data feeds and updates of various projects.
  6. Prepares written analysis and present findings, recommendations and potential raise decision questions to internal and external clients.
  7. Offers interpretation of analytical findings relative to the business.
  8. Writes queries (SQL, SAS) to develop analyses.
  9. Utilizes various analytic software tools (SAS, KXEN, SPSS, R) to perform advanced analytics.
  10. Ensures accuracy of results produced as a result of data analysis.

Qualifications

Education and Experience
Bachelors/Masters/PhD Degree in quantitative discipline (applied mathematics, statistics, computer science, operations research, or related field) from a leading academic institution. Seven plus years of work experience in an analytic role with a proven record of success and advancement. Academic or job-related experience in solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches (or equivalent). Experienced user of advanced analytic tools such as SAS, SPSS, R, etc. Demonstrated success presenting complex findings (qualitative and quantitative) in a clear and compelling manner that inspires action.

Associate has authority to make decisions, without specific guidance or direction from supervisor in many cases. Associate must compare alternate courses of action and make a decision after considering the options. To effectively manage and launch programs, must be able to manage and focus direct reports as well as influence others within the department and across the organization.

A communications expert with the ability to integrate a working knowledge of the senior living industry and its customers. Strong analytical capability to compile, analyze and make recommendations from various sources of data, both quantitative and qualitative. Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment and drive change, and collaborate effectively with a variety of individuals and organizations.
