Summary:

Boulder Medical Center (BMC) is recruiting for experienced Nurse Practitioners (NP) and / or Physician Assistants (PA) to join our Internal Medicine team! This position is benefit eligible, working full-time 40 hours per week with clinic call located at our BMC Broadway location (2750 Broadway, Boulder, CO 80304).

In this role, the APP will join a team of well-established, community-recognized, and highly experienced Internal Medicine clinicians. This position provides care for a diverse patient population, ranging from children to geriatric patients. The APP will manage a wide range of clinical responsibilities - from cancer screenings and regular physical exams / annual checkups to providing comprehensive management for chronic disease as well as preventive and geriatric care.

Job Summary:
  • Performs a comprehensive health assessment, including health history, physical exams, preventive screening, and identifies medical health risks and needs.
  • Formulates the appropriate physical diagnosis based on clinical evaluation.
  • Performs, orders, and/or interprets diagnostic studies within the scope of practice and clinical area of practice at the Boulder Medical Center, P.C.
  • Documents all clinical information in the patient's chart promptly and ensures that all charges are accurately submitted in a timely manner
  • Performs advanced technical procedures within the scope of clinical practice.
  • Plans and implements therapeutic regimens that include medical management strategies, including prescription of medications. Includes obtaining and maintaining prescriptive authority per State Board Medical Examiner regulations.
  • Establishes systematic follow-up for evaluation of the plan of care and reassesses and modifies the plan, as necessary, including initiation of referrals and consultation with BMC physicians and other health care providers as appropriate.
  • Assures patient and family teaching is adequate to manage the illness or wellness plan at home.
  • Provides direction to the Medical Assistant assigned to support the APP in the clinic.


Experience and Skills
Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) curriculum
  • Active Colorado State License and DEA licensure


Experience:

  • 1-3 years of experience in practice, preferably in Internal Medicine.

Salary Range:

  • $105k+ annually; depending on experience and education
