Position Summary: In collaboration with the Attending Physicians, the Nurse Practitioner will assess, diagnose, treat, and manage patients in DSP outpatient practice and inpatient practice. They will work with a team of providers, including cardiologists, nurses and technicians to evaluate and manage patients to help ensure then excellent patient care and satisfaction
Experience
Required: At least 1 year experience in critical care or telemetry inpatient care.
Preferred: Cardiology experience, either as Advanced Practice Provider or in Nursing. Orientation will be customized based on experience
Education
Required: Masters degree or greater. Graduate from an ANA accredited School of Nursing.
License and Credentials
Required: Current New Jersey license as a Registered Nurse and Advance Practice Nurse Certification as an Advanced Practice Nurse through a specialty association. Current BLS, ACLS, CDS and DEA licenses required. Approval of credentials and clinical privileges per DSP procedure.
Skills
Required: Proficiency with electronic health records and database management required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; computer proficient; well-organized, detail oriented and multitasking. Maintains a flexible schedule to ensure patient and staff needs are addressed/documented in a timely manner. Maintain required continuing education credits, current and completes required education for nurse practitioner recertification of 20 hours of category 1 contact hour/year. 50% of the overall credits per 5 years must be from an ANCC provider.
HOURS: Full-time 80 hours per pay period
The minimum starting salary for this position is $115k-$145K
