Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Network Hardware Test Engineer to join our growing Network Hardware Qualification team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing testing activities, ensuring highest quality standards for network hardware switch platforms and wide range of interconnect technologies (AEC, AOC, optical transceivers). This role requires a deep understanding of performance, reliability, and compliance testing. The role will have the chance to collaborate with team members, project leads, and developers to drive defects to resolution. Familiarity with Ethernet Layer 1 (PAM4, FEC, BER) is very desirable.
- Manage the lab, lab build, hardware inventory, vendors.
- Maintain test procedures, including functional, performance, and stress testing.
- Perform system-level validation across functional, performance, stress and reliability testing of networking hardware platforms, including Ethernet switches, optical interconnects, and integrated systems.
- Analyze complex test data, produce clear technical reports, and present findings to stakeholders.
- Diagnose and resolve complex hardware issues, including BER failures, link instability, and signal integrity challenges.
- Collaborate with hardware design, firmware, manufacturing, and operations teams to support high-quality product delivery.
- Improve validation methodologies, automation frameworks, and lab infrastructure.
- Validate compliance with industry standards, interoperability requirements, and cloud deployment specifications.
- Own validation deliverables, schedules, dependencies, and risk identification across assigned programs.
- hands-on experience in optical transceiver testing, quality assurance, or a related field, with demonstrated ownership of complex testing and validation activities
- Experience using optical test equipment, including optical spectrum analyzers (OSA), bit error rate testers (BERT), and optical power meters
- Experience validating high-speed data transmission technologies, including 10G, 40G, 100G, 400G, 800G and 1.6T.
- Strong background in the validation and qualification of networking hardware, particularly Ethernet switches and other high-speed platforms
- Hands-on experience testing and debugging optical modules, transceivers, and fiber-optic connections
- Deep understanding of bit error rate analysis, link stability, and signal integrity
- Experience developing test automation and scalable validation frameworks

The expected compensation for this role ranges from $45,000 to $121,000 .
Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
