Full Job Description
Administrator II

Under general administrative direction, plans, organizes, and directs the operations of the facility in accordance with CCR Title 22. The administrator is responsible for the overall health and well-being of the clients and staff. The administrator sets the tone for the facility and the expectations for staff/client, staff/staff and client/client relationships. The administrator is expected to create a home like atmosphere where clients and staff are treated with understanding, patience and dignity.

You will need:
  • ARF (Adult Residential Facility - Required.
  • A bachelor's degree in business management, hospitality management or related field
  • 3 years of direct care experience with individuals with mental illness. Two years supervisory experience preferred.
  • A current Administrator Certificate issued by the State of California, Department of Social Services.
  • A valid California driver's license, current automobile insurance, and a good driving record as documented by a DMV report.

Your Responsibilities

Your role as an Administrator your responsibilities and duties will be,
  1. Plans, organizes directs, and evaluates the performance of assigned staff.
  2. Provides leadership to develop and retain highly competent staff through selection, compensation, training, and management practices, which support the facility's mission and values.
  3. Recruits, trains and evaluates qualified staff; oversees in-service training for staff.
  4. Oversees the development of job descriptions and the orientation of all new staff.
  5. Performs disciplinary actions as needed including employee separations.
  6. Coordinates the distribution of staff consistent with client and program needs
  7. Approves the development of long-range goals for the facility.
  8. Coordinates the development of contracts with outside agencies.
  9. Reviews and approves reports for outside agencies.
  10. Participates in the grievance process of staff members and clients as appropriate.
  11. Determines appropriate clients for placement in the facility.
  12. Updates the Emergency Disaster Plan as necessary.
  13. Oversees the safekeeping and distribution of the client's cash reserves.
  14. Ensures CCL regulatory requirements, including facility requirements, documentation standards, financial records and program assets.
  15. Works closely with the analyst from Community Care licensing to ensure compliance with CCR Title 22.
  16. Oversees communication with client stakeholders including, but not limited to, Conservators, Case Managers, and family members while at the same time protecting the confidentiality of the client.
  17. Develop and implement standards of care and assist staff to work effectively and efficiently.
  18. Assures client care is coordinated by staff, other providers, and/or family members to meet client needs.
  19. Coordinates, designs, revises and maintains overall office system records.
  20. Receives, screens, and acts upon requests and complaints from visitors and members of the public, including local neighbors, conducts community outreach.
  21. Ensures provision of qualified staff for continuing operation and carrying out his/her duties and responsibilities during any absence of the administrator.
  22. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

The pay range assigned to this role is based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.
