Administrator - Abortion Care - Ambulatory Surgical Facility - Center City Philadelphia, PA

Administrator sought for Philadelphia Women's Center (PWC), a highly regarded state licensed ambulatory surgical center that has delivered excellence in abortion and reproductive healthcare for over 50 years, always at the forefront of best practices in our field. Our team members are committed to advocating and caring for people seeking legal, safe, compassionate and respectful advanced abortion care, in addition to assistance for adoption services and prenatal care.

The new Administrator will lead and develop the overall operations of PWC in accordance with patient needs, PA ASF regulations and Center policies with a focus on growing PWC and furthering our mission during these challenging political times.

Administrator Responsibilities include (this list is not inclusive of all responsibilities):
  • Independently directs all day-to-day Center operations, program initiation and development
  • Ensures the initiation, implementation, and enforcement of all policies and procedures
  • Plans and administers the managerial, operational, fiscal, and reporting components of the Center; (in conjunction with supportive offsite business management company);
  • Manages the quality assurance program for patient care and staff performance;
  • Staff leadership, responsible for management of all staff, oversight of independent contractors
  • Establishing and maintaining liaison relationships with support services and community resources

Skills / Abilities required:
  • Positive leadership with calm managerial style - maintains authority with kindness and purpose, employ management techniques to foster a focus on patient advocacy, teamwork, positive morale
  • Excellent human relations, verbal and written communication skills are needed to maintain good rapport and effective working relationships
  • Business acumen, medical and social marketing skills, management of details and the big picture, moderate computer skills, quick & constant learner;
  • Ability to function self-sufficiently, attend to detail, work under pressure, and prioritize projects
  • Determination to provide a supportive and safe health care experience for patients & their families given current political & social issues
  • A strong background in supervision and management
  • Holds high standards, attention to detail and a commitment to PWC's mission and core values
  • The talents to lead a team with respect and a sense of humor

Qualifications:

Four years of full-time or full-time equivalent administrative or supervisory experience in a health care setting
  • Extensive experience in health care, reproductive justice, management or related fields preferred
