Full Job Description
This position provides operational leadership for the IU Health Theranostics Center of Excellence (COE) which is housed within the Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences (RADY). This position leads the planning, implementation, and completion of large-scale projects across RADY, Indiana University (IU) Health facilities state-wide, affiliated research programs across the University (IU School of Medicine (IUSM) and IULAB), and industry partners. The Administrator is responsible for the effective launch, implementation and overall integrity of the COE.

Department-Specific Responsibilities
  • Develops project plans
  • Coordinates cross-functional teams
  • Monitors milestones and deliverables
  • Maintains project management and data-tracking systems
  • Identifies project risks and shortfalls
  • Reports progress to faculty/facility leaders and key stakeholders
  • Provides executive-level project management, workflow infrastructure, operational tracking, dashboard development, and resource request oversight
  • Works to ensure projects are completed within established timelines and operational systems support accountability and transparency
General Responsibilities
  • Directs the daily and long-term financial and/or administrative operations of multiple institution organizational units or a multi-faceted academic research and teaching unit within a school or college
  • Responsible for accuracy, timelines, and the general integrity of the Health Services Administration family
  • Controls all expenditures and statement of accounts to ensure regulatory compliance and fiscal integrity
  • Manages complex revenues including internal and external sources
  • Directs the management of general appropriation, endowment, federal and non-federal grants and contracts, and gift funds
  • Prepares operating and project budget drafts. Creates annual revenue and expenditure budget for school or support unit
  • Monitors functional area budgets and reports any significant deviations from approved budgets.
  • Develops budgetary policies and procedures
  • Responsible for supervising business support personnel
  • Develops, plans, and directs special projects, which may include space renovations, space allocations, staffing, equipment purchases, long-range plans, leasing of off-campus space and services
  • May oversee and direct variety of human resources activities including employment, labor relations, benefits, training, and classification for functional area

Working Conditions / Demands

This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus.
