Full Job Description
Under the supervision of the Clinic Manager for the Dermatology practices, acts as the Team Leader for assigned area. The Administrative specialist acts as the day to day supervisor of the Dermatology practice in the Clinic Managers absence. Major duties include but are not limited to: 3 Coordinate the activities of all staff supporting the area and interact with faculty and residents to maximize patient care, resident education, and patient satisfaction. 3 Perform the full range of administrative and patient care support functions to include assisting in coordinating patient flow through the clinic, from registration to discharge, inbasket message management, medication Prior authorizations. 3 Work as a member of the clinic team to provide smooth outpatient flow resulting in optimum patient satisfaction and clinic operation. 3 Assist with training front desk staff on encounter registration, authorizations and co-payment collection. 3 Continually work with the billing managers to ensure an efficient encounter registration process as it relates to billing and collecting. 3 Oversee staff and assist with: verifying insurance benefits and eligibility prior to appointments; determining co-pays and deductibles; confirming and/or obtaining appropriate authorization for visit; pre-encountering patients in CareConnect; answering busy phone system; verifying insurance billing addresses; photocopying; faxing; sorting mail; and special projects as assigned. Work is assigned and reviewed by the Clinic Manager for the Dermatology practices. You will independently coordinate and prioritize tasks using protocols established by the department. Incumbents are expected to work with minimal supervision. Salary Range: $67,700- $134,700/annually
