Full Job Description
  • DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTION
    • This role is responsible for directing the operation of the hospital on evenings, nights, and weekends. This direction includes responsibility for the inpatient units as well as all ancillary and support departments that operate during these hours.
  • POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)
    • Experience:
      • One years of successful leadership experience strongly preferred.
      • Experience in successful conflict resolution preferred.
    • Education and Training:
      • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Business or Allied Health field required.
      • Documented evidence of continuing education and continued professional growth and progress in health care and nursing.
    • License, Certification & Registration:
      • RN - Massachusetts RN license
      • BLS and ACLS required.
      • PALS and TNCC preferred.
    • Other Requirements:
      • Demonstrated working knowledge of the daily operations of an acute care Medical Center, including experience handling emergency/trauma and critical care situations.
      • Working knowledge of staffing systems preferred.
      • Recognized as a role model for clinical expertise; documented ability to make prompt, quality decisions in the clinical setting.
      • Demonstrates sufficient energy to participate in and support staff through change.
      • Excellent interpersonal skills and evidence of fairness and consistency in application of policies and contractual requirements.
      • Ability to calmly manage a variety of intense activities or problems simultaneously.
      • History of dependability in maintaining a work schedule and demonstration of work ethic required to motivate others.
