Job DescriptionYou will be the Additive Manufacturing Engineering Lab Manager for the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Additive Manufacturing Engineering Lab which is responsible for advancing additive manufacturing technologies for aerospace applications.
What You Will Be DoingAs the Additive Manufacturing Engineering Lab Manager you will be responsible for leading a high-performing engineering team that partners across Lockheed Martin to transition emerging AM materials and processes into production-ready, certifiable platforms.

- Lead the engineering team to develop technical roadmaps, secure research funding, and certify materials for tooling and flight hardware.
- Oversee operation, maintenance, safety compliance, and budgeting of two dedicated AM labs at separate facilities.
- Drive cross-disciplinary collaboration and communicate progress and issues to senior leadership and customers.
- Provide direct engineering support to aeronautics programs and external customers.
- Manage full-cycle staffing, personnel development, and continuous improvement of the lab workforce.

Further Information About This OpportunityMUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
Basic QualificationsEngineering or other technical bachelor's degree (STEM).
≥8 years of technical experience in metal and polymer additive manufacturing/3D printing technology, preferably in aerospace or defense.
Demonstrated success in developing technology roadmaps and securing funding for R&D projects.
Technical leadership capability within challenging technical, cost, and schedule constraints.
Desired skillsStrong knowledge of AM processes and material certification for aerospace applications.
Team leadership experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated collaboration with internal and external customers, DoD labs, and other government agencies on research and development, including CRAD.
Demonstrated collaboration with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain management, to ensure successful integration and identify and mitigate potential risks and issues.
Demonstrated skills in conflict resolution, proactive communication, and building collaborative relationships.
Experience with development of air vehicle products.
Experience preparing and delivering presentations to internal leadership and external customers.
Experience with strategic technical planning and proposal development.
Knowledge of Earned Value Management.
Planning and management of personnel resources, staff development and capital resources. Including recruitment, selection, training, assignments, performance, merit planning, recognition and disciplinary actions.
Experience supporting classified and sensitive programs.
National Pay StatementPay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $128,400 - $226,435. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Premium Pay StatementPay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $147,700 - $255,990. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
