Full Job Description
Use your technical expertise to make driving safer, easier and better for our customers. The **Advance Driver Assistance Technology (ADAS)** team develops state-of-the-art software and algorithms to deliver best-in-class features like adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, and 360 camera systems. ADAS also developed Ford's industry-first Pro Trailer Hitch Assist, securing over 60 patents in the process. The team is responsible for the full end-to-end delivery of these features into production on all Ford vehicle lines. Ford is seeking a **Program & Quality Lead** to own end-to-end sign-off for ADAS Rearview Camera (RVC) systems across all FNA programs at FDJ, FEC, and MP1. This role is central to ensuring continued and improving FMVSS111 Rearview Camera compliance, while also driving quality and warranty improvements. The ideal candidate is a cross-functional leader who can coordinate across multiple internal ADAS teams and other partner organizations in Ford, translate field learnings into roadmap decisions, and maintain rigorous engineering discipline throughout the development lifecycle. **Responsibilities** **What you'll do...** **Regulatory Compliance & Sign-Off** - Own and lead end-to-end RVC sign-off for all FNA programs at FDJ, FEC, and MP1, ensuring continued compliance with FMVSS111 Rearview Camera requirements. - Coordinate and synthesize inputs from four internal ADAS teams and five external functional organizations to deliver complete, accurate, and timely sign-off packages. **Quality & Warranty Leadership** - Champion RVC quality and warranty improvement initiatives, partnering closely with ADAS, CVS (Connected Vehicle Software) and Plant Vehicle Team (PVT) quality teams. - Leverage data and processes to identify systemic RVC issues and drive corrective/preventive actions. **Roadmap & Strategic Input** - Translate learnings from RVC end-to-end sign-off and quality/warranty workstreams into actionable insights. - Partner with roadmap owners to help shape and inform the future ADAS RVC/SVCS (Surround View Camera System) product roadmap based on real-world field and compliance data. **Engineering Program Hygiene** - Support ADAS Jira bug resolution objectives by maintaining strong Jira hygiene - ensuring correct field entries, accurate assignees, and up-to-date status tracking. - Partner with the broader ADAS team to drive timely closure of open Jiras, removing blockers and escalating as needed. **What Success Looks Like** - Consistent, on-time RVC program sign-off across all assigned programs. - Measurable improvement in RVC-related quality and warranty metrics. - Clear, actionable roadmap recommendations grounded in compliance and quality learnings. - Improved Jira closure rates and data hygiene across the ADAS bug backlog. **Qualifications** **You'll have...** - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field. - 2+ years of experience with automotive safety systems, ADAS, or camera-based vehicle systems. - Familiarity with FMVSS regulations (FMVSS111 preferred) and automotive compliance sign-off processes. - Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional coordination across multiple internal and external teams/organizations. - Experience with quality/warranty analysis processes and tools in an automotive or manufacturing environment. - Proficiency with Jira or similar issue-tracking/project management tools. - Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail, particularly around documentation and process hygiene. - Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and align stakeholders across engineering, quality, and compliance functions. **Even better, you may have...** - Prior experience with rearview camera (RVC) or surround vision camera systems (SVCS). - Experience with Program sign-off include Verification and Validation (V&V) - Familiarity with Ford GPDS process. - Track record of using field/quality data to improve quality and inform product roadmap decisions. This position is a range of salary grades 7-8 and ranges from $86,600-$166,200. Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
