The ADAS Quality Manager is responsible for preventing quality issues by embedding systemic, forward-looking quality practices across ADAS platforms. This role owns Lessons Learned, APQP, risk management, and system behavior validation to ensure historical failures and emerging risks are addressed early in the lifecycle. The position drives preventive quality gates, cross-program learning, and continuous improvement while supporting ASPICE-aligned practices and overall process maturity across milestones.
Key Responsibilities: - Issue Management - Prioritize and Escalate from validation and fleet testing
- Define and track Quality KPIs and maintain quality performance forecasting
- Identify and deploy Lessons Learned across projects and programs
- Part Readiness Process for parts and SW readiness through launch milestones
- APQP (HW/SW) and supplier issue convergence for assigned components
- Risk Management using RTC (Sirius) to identify, track, and mitigate risks
- Design Assessments to ensure design integrity and issue convergence
- Embedded Support within the program team to align owners, deliverables, and quality metrics
- Convert historical defects, warranty data, and escalation outcomes into preventive actions, quality gates, and improved process maturity.
- Analyze current warranty and 3rd Party Performance to assess improvement and prevent degradation with new launches
Critical Responsibilities: This position is critical as it consolidates and analyzes data from multiple sources to identify and prioritize the most significant quality issues across various functions. It ensures alignment across regions by driving timely prioritization and visibility of key issues, enabling proactive response and resolution. The role also leads and coordinates efforts with release and validation engineers, serving as a central communication bridge between ADAS development and the Vehicle Line Platforms. By maintaining focus on the highest-risk quality concerns, this position ensures efficient escalation, cross-functional engagement, and timely implementation of corrective actions.
Basic Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in Product Engineering including a minimum of 2 years of experience in testing/validation/test method development, including fixture design, instrumentation, data acquisition, etc.
- Experience leading a team or supervisory experience
- Strong written and verbal communication/presentation skills
- Well-rounded automotive knowledge and ability to work well in a team-oriented environment and able to manage unionized workforce
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, specifically MS Excel and Project
Preferred Qualifications:- ADAS Systems Background with releasing, validation, or problem solving
- Master's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Black Belt (Shainin RedX or Design for Six Sigma)
