Sous la responsabilité du VPA & Actuaire, Réassurance collective, l'Actuaire adjoint en actuariat fera partie de l’équipe responsable de la tarification de nouvelles affaires et de renouvellements, de l’analyse et le suivi de la rentabilité des affaires en vigueur et d’exécuter des analyses à valeur ajoutée aux clients canadiens de RGA en assurance collective et assurance-crédit. Fonctions principales • Effectuer des analyses actuarielles afin de fournir les données nécessaires à la tarification des nouvelles affaires et des renouvellements pour les types de prestations liées à la mortalité, aux maladies graves et à l’invalidité de longue durée • Réaliser des études d’expérience sur l’assurance collective • Préparer des rapports mensuels sur le portefeuille collectif en vigueur et fournir une analyse de la rentabilité sur l’ensemble du portefeuille d’assurance collective et d’assurance-crédit • Contribuer au suivi et à l’analyse de rentabilité pour chaque portefeuille client • Fournir un soutien technique actuariel aux autres équipes, incluant celles reliées à la tarification collective, à l’actuariat corporatif, aux réclamations, à la recherche et au développement de produit • Développer, modifier et exécuter des modèles actuariels pour réaliser des projections de flux de trésorerie, de réserves, de capital et de valeur intrinsèque des traités d’assurance collective à des fins d'information financière • Comprendre les informations relatives au client, les conditions et la structure des traités de réassurance afin de modéliser adéquatement les risques inhérents. • Préparer ou réviser les calculs pour les traités ayant une entente de partage des profits • Participer à divers projets de tarification (par exemple le développement de rapports BI et d'indicateurs de tendances pour le secteur d'activité de l’assurance collective) • Effectuer des services actuariels à valeur ajoutée demandés par le client ou initiés par RGA, tels que la révision des taux manuels et des facteurs de tarification Qualifications • Baccalauréat en actuariat ou en mathématiques; • Fellow de la Société des actuaires (FSA) et/ou de l’Institut canadien des actuaires (FICA) • Minimum 4 ans d’expérience liée au travail • Une expérience dans le domaine de l’assurance collective ou de la réassurance serait un atout • Connaissance de la suite Microsoft Office. La maîtrise de Power BI et d'AXIS est un atout. • Bonne communication en français et anglais, écrit et parlé. La maîtrise de l'anglais est requise car nous devons communiquer sur une base régulière avec des clients anglophones situés à l'extérieur du Québec. • Bonnes aptitudes en communication et en relations interpersonnelles • Bonnes compétences en organisation et documentation • Solides compétences techniques, analytiques et pour la résolution de problèmes • Souci du détail et capacité à saisir rapidement les nouveaux concepts et leur application facilement • Axé sur les résultats et capable de se concentrer sur le respect des échéanciers • Bon esprit d’équipe • Habilité à travailler et gérer différents projets en même temps Reporting to the AVP & Actuary, Group Reinsurance, the Actuarial Associate will be part of the team responsible for pricing new opportunities and renewals, analyzing and monitoring the profitability of existing business, and performing the work and analysis required to provide value-added actuarial services to RGA's Canadian Group and Creditor clients. Primary functions • Perform actuarial analysis to provide input for pricing new business and renewals with respect to mortality, critical illness and long-term disability types of benefit • Execute experience studies on group business • Prepare monthly reports on in-force business and provide analysis of the profitability of the group and creditor business • Contribute to the monitoring and the analysis of profitability for each client’s portfolio • Provide technical actuarial support to other areas, including group underwriting, corporate actuarial, claims, research and product development • Develop, modify and run actuarial models to project cash flows, reserves, capital and embedded values on group treaties for financial reporting purposes • Understand client information, terms and reinsurance treaty structure to properly model risks implied. • Prepare or review profit sharing calculation for group experience refund treaties • Assist in miscellaneous pricing projects (e.g. development of BI reports and trend indicators for the Group block of business) • Perform client-requested or RGA initiated value-added actuarial services such as manual rate and pricing factors review Qualifications • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in Actuarial or Mathematics • Fellowship, Society of Actuaries (FSA), Fellowship, Canadian Institute of Actuaries (FCIA) • 4+ Years of work-related experience • Experience in group insurance or reinsurance preferred • Software knowledge: Microsoft Office required. Power BI and AXIS proficiency is an asset • Good written and oral communications in both English and French. English is required as we need to communicate orally and in writing with English-speaking clients based outside of Quebec. • Good interpersonal and communication skills • Good organization and documentation skills • Solid technical, analytical and problem-solving skills • Detail oriented, with ability to learn new concepts and their applications quickly • Results oriented and able to focus on meeting deadlines • Good team spirit • Ability to work on and manage different projects simultaneously #LI-MJ1 #LI-HYBRID Compensation Range: $90,600.00 - $113,250.00 Annual Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan.
