Full Job Description
Activities Staff Officer (Influence, Deception & Perception Management) SME IV located in Arlington, VA to support a high-visibility federal client within the Office of the Under Secretary of War for Intelligence and Security (OUSW(I&S)) Sensitive Activities & Special Programs (SASP).

Responsibilities of the Activities Staff Officer (Influence, Deception & Perception Management) SME IV include:
  • Develop, analyze, coordinate, and promulgate policies, strategies, and plans supporting influence, deception, and perception management (IDPM) operations, activities, and investments.
  • Support oversight, governance, compliance inspections, and staff assistance visits related to IDPM programs and initiatives.
  • Prepare and coordinate senior leader staff packages, decision memoranda, policy recommendations, and time-sensitive executive correspondence.
  • Produce executive-level briefings, reports, and recommendations for senior Department leadership, Congress, and Executive Branch stakeholders.
  • Collaborate across DoD and Intelligence Community organizations to align IDPM activities with broader strategic and operational objectives.


Qualifications for the Activities Staff Officer (Influence, Deception & Perception Management) SME IV include:
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance required.
  • 10+ years of experience developing, analyzing, coordinating, or implementing policy within the DoD or Intelligence Community, with demonstrated experience supporting assessments, operational requirements/risk, or operational planning.
  • Experience supporting influence operations, military deception, perception management, information operations, psychological operations (PSYOP), strategic communications, or closely related mission areas.
  • Proven experience operating in senior headquarters environments (OSD, Joint Staff, Combatant Commands, Service Headquarters, or equivalent), supporting governance, oversight, compliance, and cross-organizational coordination.
  • Demonstrated experience producing executive-level briefings, policy papers, staff packages, decision memoranda, Congressional reporting, and recommendations for senior leaders.


Compensation for the Activities Staff Officer (Influence, Deception & Perception Management) SME IV includes:
  • $130,000 - $145,000
  • Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), PTO, Sick Leave if required by law, and Holidays
