Full Job Description
ACS Field Engineer in San Antonio, Texas.

As an ACS Field Engineer, you will:
  • Facilitate architectural, civil, and structural installations, including foundations, steel erection, and commissioning activities.
  • Review product and equipment submittals, shop drawings, engineering design drawings, specifications, and contractor-generated RFIs.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA requirements, Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures, Electrical Safe Work Practices, Control of Hazardous Energy, and Arc Flash Safety standards.
  • Apply knowledge of building codes and industry standards including IBC, NEC, NESC, NFPA, ASME, AMCA, ARI, AWS, ASHRAE, and FM.
  • Coordinate equipment factory testing, delivery, installation, commissioning, and handover activities with contractors and vendors.
  • Coordinate weekend and plant shutdown work with contractors, facilities groups, and manufacturing teams.
  • Conduct ongoing field inspections and monitor construction progress.
  • Support construction administration activities including schedule coordination, quality confirmations, weekly meetings, and planned utility outages.
  • Inspect civil and structural building systems to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and applicable codes.
  • Oversee contractor work to ensure adherence to project schedules, milestone targets, and project delivery requirements.
  • Prepare field engineering reports and provide project status updates to Project Managers.
  • Provide recommendations to improve technical specifications and project standards.
  • Effectively communicate technical information in both written and verbal formats.
  • Manage multiple priorities while meeting project deadlines and milestones.

This is a full-time, (1 year) opportunity!

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm + OT

Travel: Up to 30%

The ideal candidate will have:
  • 5-10 years of relevant engineering experience.
  • 2+ years of construction management experience.
  • Experience developing design criteria for architectural, civil, and structural systems.
  • Experience supporting automotive manufacturing facilities, including engine, transmission, vehicle manufacturing, or similar industrial operations.
  • 5+ years of experience in architectural, civil, and/or structural design.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and schedule management skills.
  • Knowledge of construction safety practices, building codes, and project coordination.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Microsoft Project.
  • Experience with Software, Bluebeam, and AutoCAD.
  • Bachelor's Degree required.

Pay Rate: $57.00 per hour DOE

Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
