Job Description

SAIC is seeking an experienced Acquisition Specialist to support the establishment of a large-scale infrastructure for Artificial Intelligence (AI) Research & Development (R&D). The program operates under an awarded IDIQ contract with multiple task orders and separate contract mechanisms for network connectivity, data management, and experimentation support.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Trusted Acquisition Advisor to Government and Program staff
  • Support ongoing task order development, evaluation, and award for follow-on capabilities
  • Monitor contractor performance against SOW/PWS requirements and aggressive delivery milestones
  • Track deliverables against Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) including Project Management Plan and design reviews
  • Support COTR and CLIN managers with technical evaluation of contractor submissions
  • Coordinate across multiple contract mechanisms (IDIQ, network connectivity, data management, experimentation support)
  • Support preparation of contract modification packages as program requirements mature
  • Coordinate with financial teams on obligation tracking, expenditure monitoring, and accounting treatment across contract ceiling
  • Prepare acquisition status briefs and risk assessments for leadership
  • Maintain contract documentation and lessons learned


Qualifications

Required Experience:
  • Active TS SCI w/Polygraph
  • Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.
  • Strong acquisition support experience of 5+ years (DoD/IC experience preferred)
  • Excellent working knowledge of FAR, DFARS, Contract types and acquisition processes, tools
  • IDIQ/task order contract management and modification processes
  • Contractor performance monitoring and assessment
  • SOW/PWS analysis and modification development
  • CDRL management and deliverable tracking
  • Contract closeout and transition planning
  • COTR support and technical evaluation
  • Expertise and experience with the IC acquisition cycle, acquisition documentation and budgetary processes
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and strong briefing and writing skills
