Full Job Description
POSITION: Acquisition Specialist

LOCATION: Los Angeles Air Force Base, CA
REQUIRED SECURITY CLEARANCE: Secret
POSITION TYPE/STANDARD WORK HOURS: Full-time/40 hours per week/ On-Site

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position will provide support to Space Systems Command (SSC) by providing acquisition SME advice and support to the FOG and understanding the SSC organization and external organizations that SSC works with daily. This expertise will be used in execution of all program office Executive Support tasks.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepare Reports, Papers and Briefings:

Independently prepare reports, papers, and briefings in accordance with DAFH 33-337, The Tongue and Quill, and SSC communications policies and templates; and prepare correspondence in accordance with AFMAN 33-326, Preparing Official Communications.

FOG Executive Support:

Assist the FOG in coordinating, consolidating, analyzing, distributing, and monitoring action items, suspenses, and responses; provide inputs and recommendations regarding administrative and office management processes and procedures; and prepare agendas, reports and briefings for staff meetings.

Record and Provide Results of Activities:

Record the results of Strategic Communication Support activities to support the FOG and provide to the Government lead(s) upon request.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance
  • Master's degree
  • Fifteen years in DoD executive program management, business management, acquisitions (non-contracting), or operations
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or PMT 3400 or higher (or predecessors)


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position does not supervise the work of others.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to operate a computer and other standard office equipment. Must be able to remain in a stationary position, 80%.

COMPENSATION / SALARY RANGE:

BTAS adheres to federal, state, and local regulations. This is a Full-Time, Salary, Exempt position. The following salary range is what we reasonably expect to pay but is contingent and subject to a variety of factors, including but not limited to years of experience, education, certification(s), training, specialized skills, responsibilities, etc.

SALARY RANGE: $145,000 - $170,000 USD
