Acquisition Management Support

Job Summary

The Acquisition Management Support position provides strategic acquisition and program support to senior government leadership within a complex DoD environment. This role focuses on acquisition oversight, reporting, financial and market analysis, and coordination across stakeholders to support mission objectives and program execution. Candidates should bring extensive experience supporting defense acquisition programs, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to operate effectively in high-visibility environments supporting SES and Flag-level leadership.

Responsibilities
  • Support acquisition planning, execution, and oversight activities across the program lifecycle
  • Conduct financial, business, and market analysis to support acquisition decision-making
  • Prepare, review, and maintain acquisition documentation, records, and reporting deliverables
  • Coordinate reporting activities and ensure compliance with established DoD and Navy requirements
  • Support development and tracking of acquisition strategies, schedules, and program documentation
  • Provide direct support to Program Managers and senior leadership on acquisition-related matters
  • Assist with contract management activities and program execution support
  • Compile and manage recurring acquisition reports
  • Facilitate communication and coordination between government stakeholders, leadership, and program teams
  • Utilize Microsoft Office applications and data management tools to support analysis and reporting efforts

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in management, Business, or a related technical field
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience supporting federal or DoD acquisition programs
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience
  • Experience supporting senior government leadership, including SES and Flag Officers
  • Background supporting acquisition reporting, program analysis, and contract execution efforts
  • Hands-on experience with DoD acquisition systems, reporting structures, and program documentation
  • Experience supporting SAR, DAES, and ASN (RD&A) reporting activities
  • Preferred experience with:
    • DoD 5000 acquisition framework
    • Department of the Navy acquisition policies and procedures
    • Navy Program Executive Office (PEO) acquisition programs

Required Skills
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
  • Financial analysis and acquisition support experience
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and reporting
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and data management platforms
  • Understanding of DoD acquisition processes and reporting requirements
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Certifications
  • DAWIA certification preferred
  • PMP certification preferred

Security Clearance
  • Active Secret Clearance required
