Job Description

COLSA is seeking an Acquisition Information Protection Manager (Journeyman) to support all aspects of acquisition program security throughout the program life cycle. This role ensures compliance with Government directives relating to Special Access Programs (SAPs), Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and collateral security requirements. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience implementing security policies derived from Executive Orders and DoD Manuals, and be capable of developing and maintaining a secure operational environment for government and contractor personnel.
  • Provide knowledge and experience in development of system security management plans, program protection plans, security risk analyses, OPSEC plans, computer assessment and authorization, security vulnerability and countermeasures analyses, security CONOPS, and other system security engineering-related documents identified in MIL-STD 1785 Military Standard: System Security Engineering Program Management Requirements DoDI 5000.02, , and DoDI 8510.01, Risk Management Framework (RMF) for DoD Information Technology
  • Provide knowledge and experience in acquisition program security management:
  • Maintain databases that reflect receipt, storage, inventory, and disposition of classified information to include data entry, updates, and generation of reports.
  • Participate in audits of Government classified holdings to ensure proper accountability.
  • Maintain databases of classified visits and clearance/access levels.
  • Perform inspection, inventory, logging, storage, documentation, transmittal and internal distribution of classified information received.
  • Provide security inspection and protection to areas where classified information is stored and design and establish security procedures and policies.
  • Develop and provide security awareness and other security education programs.
  • Review and verify qualifications for access to special access programs.
  • Only Contractor Acquisition Information Protection Managers are authorized to record lock combinations. Other EPASS LCATS shall not record lock combinations.
  • Opening/Closing secure/classified areas (SCIF's/SAPF's/Secure Storage areas, etc).
  • Support the execution of all aspects of acquisition program security throughout a program's life cycle;
  • Develop sound security practices and policies regarding acquisition, physical, personnel and documentation security;
  • Prepare acquisition security related sections of acquisition program documentation;
  • Provide security support to source selections.

Required Experience

Required Qualifications
  • Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience:
    • Bachelor's Degree (or higher) and 6 years of related experience
    • Associate's degree and 10 years of related experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Level 1 Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) Program Security Fundamentals Professional certification within 14 months of start date
  • U.S. Citizenship required; Must have an active DoD Top Secret security clearance
