SPA's Strategic Division's Strategic Development Group (SDG) supports critical U.S. government programs providing Systems Engineering support, Systems Safety support and Financial Analysis support. SDG is hiring for a full time Mid-Level Acquisition & Financial Analyst in support of the U.S. Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) SP25 Infrastructure Branch. This work is located at Maritime Plaza with regular walking travel to Washington Navy Yard.
Responsibilities
The Acquisition & Financial Analyst will assist the Infrastrucutre Branch (SP25) of Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) with a wide array of acquisition documentation and financial management activities in support of Government acquistion. The analyst will collaborate with both SSP & external stakeholders - including program managers, contracting officers, engineers, logisticians, and the financial comptroller - to track, support, and close out financial and contracting milestones. Additionally, candidates should have experience producing recurring deliverables, such as budget formulation, execution and monitoring, as well as develop financial monitoring and tracking tools and create PowerPoints and documents to demonstrate status of program financials and complete acquistion documentaion such as the Program Streamlined Acquistion Plan (PSTRAP). Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and are expected to work at Maritime Plaza with regular meetings at SSP, both located at the Washington Navy Yard.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Ability to work full-time at Maritime Plaza with regular walking travel to Washington Navy Yard.
- U.S. Citizen with DOD SECRET clearance or higher.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Mathematics, or equivalent work experience.
- 4+ years of experience in finance/contractual-focused positions in support of DoD/gov customers.
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and other MS products.
Desired Qualifications:
- MA/MS/MBA degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Mathematics, or equivalent work experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of DOD acquisition processes and contracting regulations.
- Experience with SSP.
