Job Summary:
The Acoustical Solutions Manager is responsible for establishing and growing Ecore's acoustics business by developing market strategy, driving specification influence, expanding strategic partnerships, and accelerating revenue growth. This role serves as the primary commercial leader and technical subject matter expert for Ecore's acoustical solutions portfolio.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategic Business Development- Develop and execute the go-to-market strategy for Ecore acoustical solutions.
- Identify growth opportunities and build strategic partnerships.
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of specification and project opportunities.
Specification Influence and Market Expansion- Build relationships with architects, acoustical consultants, engineers, contractors, and end users.
- Drive specification activity during design and planning phases.
- Represent Ecore at industry events and customer meetings.
Technical Sales Leadership- Serve as the technical expert for acoustical products and systems.
- Provide application guidance, presentations, CEUs, and training.
- Support regional sales teams in developing and winning opportunities.
Market Intelligence and Product Strategy- Monitor market trends and customer needs.
- Partner with Product Management, Marketing, and Innovation to influence product direction.
- Provide competitive and market insights.
Cross-Functional Leadership- Lead acoustics-related initiatives across commercial and operational functions.
- Help define future organizational and resource needs as the business grows.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Marketing, or a related field.
- Seven or more years of experience in commercial flooring, acoustics, architectural products, building materials, or related industries.
- Experience with specification-driven sales and business development.
- Strong strategic planning, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to travel throughout North America up to 70%.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None initially; may support future team development as the acoustics business expands.
Work Environment:

- Remote-based position with frequent travel throughout North America to customer locations, project sites, industry conferences, trade shows, distribution partners, manufacturing facilities and Ecore locations.
- Work is performed in a variety of environment including home offices, corporate offices, customer sites, commercial construction environments, educational facilities, healthcare facilities, and other business locations.
- Requires regular interaction with customers, architects, acoustical consultants, engineers, contractors, distributors, and internal cross-functional teams.
- Frequent travel, including overnight stays, is expected and may account for up to 70% of work time.
- May require occasional evening and weekend work to support customer meetings, trade shows, industry events, and business travel commitments.
- Requires the ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with geographically dispersed teams and stakeholders.

- Ability to occasionally lift, carry, transport, and position product samples, presentation materials, trade show displays, or luggage weighing up to 25 pounds.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, deadlines, and customer demands in a fast-paced business environment.
- Must be able to prepare and deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, training programs, and business reviews to diverse audiences.
- Requires ability to interpret technical information, market trends, customer requirements, and competitive intelligence to support business growth initiatives.
- Must maintain attention to detail, exercise sound judgement, and collaborate effectively across departments while working with a high degree of independence.
