Accounts Payable Manager

Marina Landscape, Inc. is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Manager to join our team. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing the full-cycle accounts payable process, managing vendor relationships, ensuring timely and accurate payments, and supervising Accounts Payable staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the monthly Accounts Payable close process and ensure all invoices and expenses are properly accounted for.
    • Review and approve invoices, payment requests, and account coding for accuracy and compliance.
    • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve payment discrepancies.
    • Oversee weekly check runs, ACH payments, wire transfers, and cash forecast requirements.
    • Manage annual 1099 reporting and filing requirements.
    • Prepare account analyses, financial reports, and ad hoc reporting for management.
    • Coordinate and provide Accounts Payable documentation and support during internal and external audits.
    • Develop, implement, and maintain Accounts Payable policies, procedures, and internal controls.
    • Monitor and improve Accounts Payable processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
    • Manage vendor payments, expense reimbursements, and corporate credit card programs.
    • Work closely with banks to ensure proper handling of Accounts Payable transactions.
    • Develop and track KPIs and performance metrics related to Accounts Payable operations.
    • Collaborate with Purchasing, Operations, and other departments to improve workflows and business processes.
    • Assist with budgeting activities and monitor departmental spending.
    • Respond to financial inquiries and provide accounting support to management and operational teams.
    • Supervise, train, coach, and evaluate Accounts Payable staff.
    • Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), company policies, and financial controls.
    • Lead special projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned.
    • Deliver exceptional customer service to vendors, clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 4 years of Accounts Payable experience, including supervisory responsibilities
  • Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable processes and accounting principles
  • Experience with vendor management, reconciliations, reporting, and audits
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
