We are looking for a Accounting Technical Program Manager to join our team. This role is open to candidates based remotely in Canada or the United States. Candidates located in the New York area will follow a hybrid schedule, with an expectation to work from our New York office two days per week. As a Technical Program Manager (TPM) specializing in Accounting, you will serve as the dedicated Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Guesty Accounting Module. In this role, you will act as a key technical and financial partner to our Enterprise and Strategic customers, guiding them through complex accounting workflows, owner statements, and critical end-of-month financial processes. Beyond enterprise support, you will drive proactive product adoption, ensuring clients achieve the financial optimization necessary for long-term retention and expansion. You will work in close strategic partnership with the Customer Success Management (CSM) team to analyze client workflows, identify adoption gaps, and safeguard account health. Internally, you will serve as the definitive "Voice of the Customer" to our Product and Engineering teams-advocating for enterprise financial needs to shape our product roadmap. Additionally, you will be the backbone of accounting expertise for the broader TPM team, handling advanced accounting escalations and driving ongoing team enablement on best practices and new features. **Responsibilities** **Key Responsibilities:** **Enterprise Partnership & Product Adoption** - **Month-End Financial Support**: Provide dedicated guidance to enterprise and strategic accounts during high-stakes end-of-month closing cycles, ensuring smooth reconciliations, payouts, and statement generation. - **Proactive Product Adoption**: Analyze enterprise accounting setups to drive deeper feature utilization, streamline financial workflows, and increase overall product stickiness and retention. - **CSM Strategic Partnership**: Partner closely with Customer Success Managers (CSMs) on shared strategic accounts to align technical and accounting excellence with overall client retention and health goals. - **Advanced Accounting Consultations**: Lead complex consultations for enterprise clients to translate intricate property management accounting requirements into optimized Guesty Accounting Module configurations. **Internal Enablement & Voice of the Customer** - **Voice of the Customer (VoC)**: Synthesize real-world client challenges, accounting feedback, and market requirements to advocate directly with Product and Engineering teams for strategic roadmap enhancements. - **Accounting Escalations SME**: Act as the primary escalation point for the technical program management team on complex accounting, ledger, and reconciliation discrepancies. - **Team Enablement & Training**: Lead continuous enablement for internal team regarding new feature releases, property management accounting best practices, and operational standards. **Key Skills: ** - **Accounting & Financial SME: **Deep functional knowledge of property management accounting, trust accounting, owner payout statements, ledgers, bank reconciliations, and month-end closing processes. - **Technical Aptitude: **A solid background in navigating complex SaaS environments and a natural ability to master intricate technical use cases. - **Strategic Problem-Solving:** The ability to analyze customer configurations and workflows to provide optimal, scalable solutions. - **Expert Communication & Training: **Exceptional presentation skills with a talent for translating dense technical concepts into simple, actionable guidance for both clients and internal teams. - **SaaS Product Advocacy: **Experience collaborating with Product organizations to vocalize feature requests, provide tangible feedback, and advocate for impactful roadmap releases. - **Proactive Drive: **High level of initiative to identify adoption gaps, improve customer setup, and collect meaningful product feedback. - **Analytical Thinking: **The ability to identify trends across account cohorts and use data to track evolving product needs. - **Adaptability & Evolution:** A proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and a proactive embrace of change-whether adopting new internal tools, evolving systems, or leveraging developing automations to improve efficiency. - **(Bonus) Market Knowledge: **Familiarity with the short-term rental market, the OTA landscape (Airbnb, Vrbo, etc.), and the property management software ecosystem. **Requirements** - Minimum of 4 years of technical experience within the SaaS software industry or in a technology-driven environment - Deep hands-on experience with trust accounting, property management accounting, or financial SaaS platforms. - Demonstrated experience handling enterprise/strategic accounts during high-pressure financial cycles (e.g., month-end close). - API literacy - Demonstrated problem-solving skills and creative thinking - Strong communication and presentation skills - Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams
