Full Job Description
The Accounting & Reporting Manager is a hands-on finance leader responsible for overseeing the monthly accounting close, financial reporting, and compliance activities for a U.S.-based sales and manufacturing company. This role ensures timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with company accounting policies. The position reports to the VP Finance, Entertainment North America division, and is responsible for leading a small general accounting team. Plays a key role in maintaining strong internal controls, supporting audit and tax compliance, driving process improvements, and providing insightful financial analysis to management.

What you'll do as an Accounting & Reporting Manager:

Reporting & Analysis:

  • Lead and manage the monthly and annual general accounting close processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to reporting deadlines.
  • Prepare and review financial statements and management reports in accordance with company accounting and reporting policies.
  • Compile documentation and responses for tax audits, financial statement audits, and other regulatory requests.


  • Owner of royalty reporting processes to ensure timely and accurate submissions.


  • Manage SG&A cost center reporting, including monthly variance analysis and communication of results to management. Oversee all SG&A expense accounting.


  • Support the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial planning activities for assigned P&L accounts.


Compliance:

  • Coordinate tax filings and compliance activities with external tax advisors and accounting firms.
  • Develop, document, and improve accounting processes and internal controls, including supporting new business initiatives and sales channel expansion.


  • Serve as the key owner in local finance team for accounting and reporting processes within SAP ERP, corporate consolidation software Tagetik, and retail customer trade spend management software.


  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, accounting standards, and internal control requirements.


Management & improvement:

  • Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of two accounting professionals including performance management, workload prioritization, and training.
  • Partner with commercial, licensing, and corporate finance teams across global offices to support business initiatives, improve reporting transparency, and provide financial insights. Partner closely with the North America Finance Shared Services Center, which manages accounts receivable, accounts payable, and banking activities.


We're looking for an Accounting & Reporting Manager with:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting. CPA designation preferred. Public accounting experience is a plus.
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including responsibility for financial reporting, month-end close, and audit support activities, preferably at a manufacturing company.
  • Experience preparing statutory and management reporting packages, financial analyses, and account reconciliations.
  • Previous experience leading and developing accounting staff is preferred.


  • Experience working within a multinational organization.
  • Proficiency in SAP or other large ERP and Microsoft Excel. Experience in working with financial consolidation tools (example Tagetik) is a plus.


  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.


  • Experience leading month-end close and financial reporting. General ledger accounting knowledge required.

Physical requirements and working conditions:

Our manufacturing Plant is comprised of enclosed office and manufacturing space. This position requires the ability to:

  • Move through the entire facility to attend to various issues
  • Work effectively in teams across functional groups with strong communication skills and the ability to lead
  • Perform sedentary work on various computer systems
  • This position is a hybrid position based in our Erlanger, KY facility
