DescriptionAs Accounting Manager, you will oversee day-to-day accounting operations for a multi-entity, privately held organization, ensure financial accuracy and compliance, develop staff, and partner with leadership to drive business success. Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management & Reporting
- Manage the monthly and annual close processes for multiple entities.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of entity-level & consolidated financial statements.
- Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Maintain compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
- Analyze financial results and provide variance analysis and operational insights to leadership.
Multi-Entity Accounting Oversight
- Oversee accounting operations for multiple affiliated companies, including intercompany transactions and consolidations.
- Ensure proper allocation of shared expenses and reconciliation of intercompany balances.
- Coordinate entity-specific reporting, tax support, and compliance requirements.
ERP Transition & Systems Leadership
- Serve as a key accounting lead in the transition from QuickBooks to NetSuite.
- Partner with leadership, consultants, and cross-functional teams on ERP implementation activities, including data migration, process mapping, testing, training, and go-live support.
- Develop and improve accounting workflows, internal controls, and reporting structures within NetSuite.
- Assist in establishing standardized processes and best practices across all entities.
- Support ongoing NetSuite optimization, reporting enhancements, and automation initiatives after implementation.
Leadership & Team Management
- Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff.
- Establish performance expectations and support employee development.
- Foster a collaborative, accountable, and service-oriented department culture.
- Allocate workload and ensure department deadlines are consistently achieved.
Audit, Compliance & Controls
- Coordinate annual tax preparation support.
- Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Support banking, insurance, and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Assist leadership with special projects as needed.

RequirementsEducation/Training/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- 5-8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
- Experience managing accounting functions for multiple companies or entities required.
- Prior experience in a privately held or mid-sized company environment preferred.
- Experience participating in ERP implementations or major accounting system transitions strongly preferred.
Technical Skills:
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Experience with or exposure to QuickBooks preferred.
- Experience with or exposure to Oracle NetSuite ERP strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
- Experience with consolidations, intercompany accounting, and ERP system administration.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for long periods of time, and walk/stand regularly
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform physical tasks (e.g., stooping, bending kneeling)
