Full Job Description
Accounting Manager Position Summary:

As we continue to grow our company, we are actively adding an Accounting Manager to our expanding Corporate team, reporting to the Controller. This role will play a key role in leading the monthly close process, strengthening accounting controls, supporting the year-end audit, and providing day-to-day leadership across the accounting function. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment, takes ownership, and is comfortable balancing hands-on accounting responsibilities with review and team leadership. In this role, you will be directly supervising a team of junior accountants.

You'll work directly with experienced leaders from AEA Investors, Bain & Company, Lidl, Wawa, L'Oreal, and CVS, gaining full exposure to what it takes to scale a high-growth business. This is a unique opportunity to own high-visibility processes that have an outsized impact on the success of the business while growing yourself and your career along with us.

Lead the Monthly Close Process: Lead the monthly financial close process, including the initial review of staff-prepared journal entries and supporting documentation. Ensure entries are accurate, appropriately supported, and completed in accordance with the established close calendar.
  • Prepaid Module: Review and work within the Sage Intacct Prepaid module as part of the monthly close and ongoing accounting processes. Support the accurate recording, reconciliation, and review of prepaid expenses.
  • Fixed Asset Module: Work in the Fixed Asset module to review fixed assets in service, record and validate depreciation expense, run the FARF (Fixed Asset Roll Forward) and validate the FARF to General Ledger.
  • Payroll Accounting & Controls: Own the reconciliation of payroll to the general ledger and partner with Human Resources to maintain and enhance controls surrounding the payroll process. Investigate and resolve payroll-related accounting discrepancies and ensure accurate recording within the general ledger.
  • Revenue Validation: Oversee the monthly revenue validation process, including review of staff-prepared reconciliations between the general ledger and the POS system. Ensure revenue validation is completed by the end of Day 1 of the close to support timely Finance flash reporting.
  • Treasury Management: Assist with treasury management activities, including monitoring cash balances, recording intercompany cash activity, and reviewing intercompany reconciliations.
  • Audit & Year-End Close: Assist with all aspects of the year-end close and external audit, including interim audit procedures, year-end testing, preparation and review of supporting schedules, and coordination of audit requests.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Provide day-to-day leadership, guidance, and review for members of the accounting team. Review staff-prepared journal entries and account reconciliations, assist with issue resolution, and support the continued development of team members. Establish clear ownership, deadlines, and accountability across the monthly close process. As the role develops, share responsibility with the Controller for the management, coaching, and development of junior-level accounting staff.
  • Ad Hoc Analysis & Accounting Support: Support the Controller and broader organization with accounting research, financial analysis, audit support, and other ad hoc requests related to day-to-day operations.
