Reports To: Controller
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close processes.
- Review financial statements, reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules.
- Oversee General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and cash management.
- Develop and strengthen accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Monitor cash flow and support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax professionals, banking partners, and other outside providers.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax requirements, and company policies.
- Identify and implement process improvements that increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Maintain accounting systems and financial data integrity.
- Provide financial reporting and analysis to management.
- Provide backup support for payroll processing when needed.
- Supervise and develop accounting staff, as applicable.
- Support special projects and other financial initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Approximately 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including month-end close experience.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and financial systems skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Prior supervisory experience preferred.
- Manufacturing or operational accounting experience is a plus.
- CPA or advanced degree is a plus, but not required.
