Full Job Description
We are currently seeking a dynamic and organized Accounting Manager with sound financial expertise and strong supervisory skills to join our growing Outsourced Accounting Solutions (OAS) team. The position reports to our OAS Managing Director and requires work within both the Wojeski office and at client locations around the Capital Region of New York.

Key Responsibilities:

Our OAS Accounting Manager will be responsible for:
  • Managing OAS staff and their associated general accounting workload to guarantee complete client satisfaction
  • Standardizing and improving OAS practices and procedures while ensuring the highest quality final product to our clients
  • Reviewing monthly account reconciliations and trial balances for periodic reporting to clients
  • Assisting clients with tasks and issues that arise in the accounting function of their businesses
  • Recruiting and hiring new members for the OAS team and conducting performance evaluations for the group
  • Coordinating training programs for new staff while identifying training needs for existing staff
  • Ability to develop and foster new business
  • Performing other related duties as necessary or assigned

Qualifications:

Desired for our OAS Accounting Manager include:
  • Thorough proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online and Excel
  • Advanced understanding of balance sheets and profit and loss statements.
  • Capacity to manage multiple projects and staff members for different types of clients in a fast-paced environment
  • The ability to interact with clients on a regular basis
  • Ability to learn quickly and work both independently and as a team member to complete tasks
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • First-rate communication and commitment to customer service
  • Knowledge of business organizational structures
  • Income tax experience is a plus but not required

Required and strongly preferred experience:

Our OAS Accounting Manager should have:
  • a Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (required)
  • a minimum of five years of related experience (required)
  • accreditation as a QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor (strongly preferred)
  • a Certified Public Accountant designation (preferred, but not required)
