Full Job Description
Reporting to the Gas Cylinders Controller, the Accounting Manager will be responsible for approximately 5 team members including Staff Accountant, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Administrative Support.
Main Activities:
The main activities of the position include but are not limited to the following:
• Maintenance of the company's financial ledgers and their subledgers.
• The preparation of accurate and timely financial reports and forecasts for both internal and external entities of the company, facilitating sound financial decisions.
• The safeguarding of all company assets by assisting in the preparation of sound internal control policies and procedures and insuring adherence to such policies.
• Supervise the timely and accurate processing of all accounts payable invoices, facilitating an uninterrupted flow of goods and services.
• Review and approve, where appropriate, new Luxfer customers or changes to existing customers and assist with credit limit reviews.
• Assist in the preparation of Luxfer Inc's. annual financial statements and related US GAAP disclosures. Provide support and work with the company's accounting firm to complete the annual audit in a timely fashion.
• Support Sarbanes-Oxley internal control compliance processes and assist the Internal Audit department with periodic audits and reviews.
• The reporting to government agencies of all required financial data and the payment of all associated taxes and fees in an accurate and timely manner for property taxes, licenses, and the like.
• Supervise the activities, training, and development of subordinate personnel including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable and Staff Accountant.
• Participate in the month end general ledger closing for all North American Luxfer Gas Cylinders divisions. Including the preparation of complete and accurate financial statements.
• Administer the Corporate Purchasing Card Program.
• Administer AP paperless system ESKER, and manage users, authorization levels, and other attributes.
• Administer expense report software system Expensys, and manage users, authorization levels and other attributes.
• Coordinate cash management, forecasting, reporting, and banking transactions with Head Office Treasury department.
Job Skills and Requirements
• Demonstrated ability to use business software systems Microsoft Office Suite; specifically Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Experience/familiarity with ERP platform and paperless accounting systems. Experience with Esker or SAP experience preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proven ability to take initiative and achieve results in a fast-paces and changing environment.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common business documents.
• Must be able to follow processes and procedures
• Must be organized
• Detail-oriented and the ability to handle multiple tasks within deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
Compensation: $90,000,000 to $95,000.
