Full Job Description
JM Test Systems is seeking an experienced anddetail-oriented Accounting Manager to lead our accounting operations and ensurethe accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of our financial processes. This role partners closely with the Controller and CFO andserves as a key leader across the accounting function-owning the generalledger, driving a strong close process, and ensuring consistent, compliantpractices across multiple locations.

You'll act as the bridge between transactional accounting(AP), staff accountants, and leadership-bringing structure, visibility, andcontinuous improvement to our financial operations.

What You'll Do
  • Lead the monthly and annual close process across all locations
  • Review and approve journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
  • Ensure timely, accurate financial statements and reporting
  • Maintain general ledger integrity and consistency
  • Partner with leadership on variance analysis and executive reporting
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
  • Support internal and external audits
  • Strengthen and monitor internal controls
  • Identify and drive process improvements and efficiencies
  • Optimize use of Sage 100 and related systems
  • Oversee sales and use tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions
  • Partner cross-functionally with AR, Purchasing, Payroll, and Operations
  • Lead and develop the accounting team, including the AP Supervisor and staff accountants
  • Oversee AP operations through the AP Supervisor to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance

What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
  • CPA (preferred or in progress)
  • 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Experience with month-end close and financial reporting
  • Experience in multi-location or service-based environments preferred
  • ERP experience (Sage 100 or similar strongly preferred)
  • Prior leadership or team oversight experience preferred
