Accounting Manager

Duluth, GA

Hybrid: In-Office 3 days

The Accounting Manager is responsible for managing the execution of accounting processes for critical areas of the business including General Ledger, Rebates, Leases, Accounts Payable, Legal, and P&L Reviews. This role reports to the Senior Director of Accounting and coordinates daily team activities to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. The Accounting Manager is a hands-on, player-coach who leads a team of Senior Accountants and offshore resources while remaining closely involved in the month-end close and day-to-day accounting operations. The role partners cross-functionally to improve processes, strengthen controls, and reduce manual work through better use of systems and Excel.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of Senior Accountants and offshore resources through the month-end close process
  • Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis
  • Own key accounting areas including GL, rebates, leases, and operational accounting processes
  • Provide timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis
  • Analyze financial data and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce manual work
  • Ensure proper documentation and compliance for all financial transactions
  • Review and enhance balance sheet reconciliations and assist in resolving discrepancies
  • Drive standardization across financial processes
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and SOX requirements
  • Support audit activities and collaborate with FP&A, Operations, and cross-functional teams
  • Participate in system enhancements and process improvement initiatives


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience
  • Minimum of 2 years managing Senior Accountants or equivalent professional-level staff
  • Strong ownership of month-end close including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
  • Proven ability to improve processes and reduce manual work
  • Strong Excel skills including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis
  • Experience in multi-entity or complex accounting environments
  • Knowledge of GAAP and internal controls

The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $120k - $130k + commission. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
