Accounting Manager
Principal Duties and Responsibilities

General Accounting
• Manage and oversee the daily accounting operations, including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Maintain the integrity of the general ledger, including oversight of accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and other balance sheet accounts.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, and aging reports to ensure timely collections and vendor payments.
• Analyze financial results, identify trends or anomalies, and provide actionable insights to Finance leadership.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with FP&A, Operations, Supply Chain, IT, and other cross-functional teams to ensure the accuracy of financial data and resolve discrepancies.
• Develop, document, and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to enhance efficiency and compliance.
• Support ERP system enhancements, process automation, and other continuous improvement initiatives.

Financial Reporting & Compliance
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, company accounting policies, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Support internal and external audits by coordinating requests, preparing documentation, and responding to audit inquiries.
• Partner with Finance leadership to improve reporting accuracy, consistency, and operational efficiency.
• Assist with tax reporting, compliance activities, and other regulatory filings as needed.
• Monitor evolving accounting guidance and support implementation of new accounting standards when applicable.

Education/Experience Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA certification or progress toward CPA preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong experience managing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
• Experience in the medical device, healthcare, or manufacturing industry preferred.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, complex formulas, and financial analysis.
• Experience with ERP systems; familiarity with OneStream or similar financial reporting and consolidation systems preferred.
• Experience with inventory accounting and cost accounting is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze large datasets and translate financial information into actionable business insights.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with process improvement, system implementations, and accounting automation initiatives is highly desirable.
