Job Title: Accounting Manager

Position Overview:

The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing accounting financial operations of the company. This role will ensure compliance with accounting policy and procedure established by the parent company. The Accounting Manager is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate execution of accounting procedures and financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Tasks:
    • Provide leadership in all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting.
    • Assist with financial operations including invoicing, payment receipt and application, processing accounts payable (bill entry and payments), and tracking expenses.
    • Complete daily bank reconciliations, ensuring all transactions are posted to the general ledger in a timely manner. Manage accounts receivable and oversee collections processes.
    • Manage the accrual process and prepaid expenses during month-end close ensuring all expenses and liabilities are properly recorded.
    • Monitor financial performance against established targets and make recommendations for improvement.
    • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations ensuring detailed and accurate balances and schedules.
    • Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure accuracy of financial reporting and safeguarding of company assets.
    • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement financial strategies that support the overall goals and objectives of the company.
    • Provide detailed support for annual audit to parent company.
  • Financial Reporting:
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements with variance analysis, balance sheets, and other reports as required by company leadership and the Parent company.
  • Compliance and Legal Oversight:
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations across business operations.
    • Apply for necessary licenses and certifications as well as file necessary local taxes.
    • Coordinate with the legal team on collections, liens and other legal matters.
    • Maintain fixed asset listing, ensuring proper classification and accurate recording of purchases and disposals of company assets.
  • Payroll:
    • Manage payroll processes including calculation of commission and bonus payouts, tracking and proper recording of PTO, prepare weekly payroll, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing.
    • Collaborate with HR to ensure seamless integration between payroll and HR functions.
  • Client Interaction:
    • Efficiently resolve client inquiries, including account reconciliations and service or payment issues, escalating complex matters to the appropriate management level as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred but Associate's degree with requisite work experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Exceptional financial analysis and modeling skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of integrity and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
