What You'll lead Close & Reporting- Own the month-end close end-to-end; prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and consolidations
- Deliver accurate financials with sharp fluctuation analysis and compelling narratives for leadership
- Maintain timely, audit-ready balance sheet reconciliations
Controls, Audit & Compliance- Coordinate annual audit, build PBC lists, draft technical memos, and resolve findings
- Strengthen policies and internal controls; ensure US GAAP rigor with SaaS/ASC 606 focus
- Collaborate with external consultants on domestic and international tax filings and ensure accurate global compliance
Cash, AP & Working Capital- Own a rolling 13-week cash forecast (weekly refresh) with base/upside/downside scenarios
- Manage Treasury operations including daily cash positioning, bank account rationalization, user-entitlement
- Optimize payment timing, and oversee AP accuracy and vendor hygiene
Team Enablement & Automation- Uplevel the team through coaching; run weekly 1:1s, set clear goals, and give timely, specific feedback
- Build capability; create learning paths, lunch-and-learns (ASC 606, NetSuite power-tips), and SOP playbooks so the team scales without heroics
- Drive tooling and process improvements across NetSuite and adjacent systems (e.g., close management, reconciliations, AP automation, reporting)
- Partner with stakeholders across the organization to support financial initiatives and reporting accuracy
What You Bring- Experience: 4-10 years progressive accounting experience; public/private mix preferred; SaaS exposure a plus
- Technical: Strong US GAAP (esp. ASC 606), analytical depth, and Excel chops
- Systems: NetSuite required; plus any of (BlackLine/FloQast/Workiva), AP automation (Tipalti/Coupa), tax (Avalara), CRM/BI (Salesforce, Power BI/Looker) is a plus
- Leadership & Mentorship: Passionate about teaching and developing accountants; clear communicator who sets crisp standards, builds training plans and review rhythms, and develops people-while staying calm and accountable under pressure
- Mindset: Pursue constant improvement, take ownership, be curious, and execute sound judgment even when things are ambiguous
