The Accounting Manager is responsible for the day-to-day processing and control of the general ledger, managing the monthly close responsible for all balance sheet reconciliations, overseeing fixed asset controls and management, cash control support, supporting the financial planning and analysis process and performing other tasks in line with supporting the accounting and finance department.
The ideal candidate brings hands-on accounting expertise, strong systems skills, and the ability to partner cross-functionally in a fast-paced technology solutions, managed services, and professional services environment.
Some responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Manage the daily operations of the accounting function, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion of journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, management reports, cash flow activity, budget-to-actual results, and key financial metrics.
- Support project, client, and service-line profitability reporting.
- Maintain and improve accounting policies, procedures, workflows, and internal controls to support accuracy, compliance, scalability, and operational efficiency.
- Partner with the VP & Corporate Controller, CFO, and department leaders on budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, reporting, and business performance insights.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, banks, insurance providers, and other third-party partners as needed.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax requirements, regulatory obligations, and company policies.
- Evaluate opportunities to streamline accounting processes, improve reporting, and leverage accounting or ERP systems more effectively.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting team members, providing guidance, training, and performance support.
- Assist with special projects, system implementations, acquisitions, process improvements, and other finance initiatives as the business grows.

Skills:- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and communicate insights clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
- High attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially advanced Excel skills, and experience with accounting or ERP systems; NetSuite experience preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to improve processes, strengthen controls, and support a growing business environment.
Education and Experience:- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including prior experience in an accounting manager, senior accountant, assistant controller, or similar role.
- Experience managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, payroll coordination, and cash management functions.
- CPA, CMA, or progress toward certification preferred.
- Experience in IT consulting, managed services, professional services, Value-Added Reseller, or technology-based services environment preferred.
- Experience with project accounting, revenue recognition, contract billing, deferred revenue, and recurring revenue models.
- Familiarity with PSA, ERP, CRM, or accounting systems commonly used in technology services organizations.
- Prior supervisory experience with the ability to coach, develop, and lead accounting staff.
Salary range: The compensation range for this role is expected to be $110,000-$125,000 annually. Final offer will depend on experience, qualifications, location and other relevant factors.
