Accounting Manager - Financial Reporting

Purpose of Position:

Monitor the areas of financial reports, accounts payable, IHS Compact funds, annual tax reporting, financial audits, payroll, general ledger, operating and capital budgets; Provide expertise to management and staff on accounting functions meeting legal, regulatory, procedural and policy requirements; Review monthly departmental variance reports for accuracy.

Essential Functions:
  • Accounting Manager will coordinate and oversee the annual financial audit.
  • Monitor and maintain budgetary and fiscal constraints and responsibilities in the area of accounting including reviewing all Journal entries and ensures reconciliation of Balance Sheet Accounts; Review financial statements and general ledger accounts and entries for accuracy and ensure accounts payable is processed accurately and on schedule, paying close attention to authorizations to pay, documentation of receipt of goods or satisfactory performance of service, accurate amounts, and correct account coding.
  • Directs the preparation of all required tax forms within established deadlines, including W-2s, 1099s, 990, 941, and ESC reports and ensure IRS files are kept in a logical and organized manner.
  • Direct preparation of annual personnel, capital operating and revenue budgets and completion of product as designated by Corporate Officers.
  • Ensure efficient procedures and effective use of corporate housing funds and esure payroll is accurate and timely.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
