OVERVIEW:
Working as Full-time Accounting Manager, you will enjoy the opportunity of providing corporate accounting leadership for accounting teams that support Fastenal's world-wide locations. The individual selected for this position will oversee our accounting teams focused on external reporting, technical accounting, accounts payable expense, and fixed assets, which will require a strong focus on technical accounting research, maintaining compliance with US GAAP and SEC rules and regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
o Providing strategic leadership to teams processing financial accounting operations
o Coordinating related financial statement close and audit activities
o Ensuring compliance with accounting principles and related internal controls
o Overseeing system enhancements and development projects
o Implementing initiatives supporting company growth drivers and operational efficiencies
o Establishing strategic goals for training, developing, and motivating others
o Evaluating and assigning resources to achieve operational objectives
o Performing special projects and other administrative tasks as necessary

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:
o Posses a bachelor's degree in accounting
o Possess at least 5 years of accounting work experience
o Excellent written and oral communication skills
o Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented
o Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills
o Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
o Work independently as well as in a team environment
o Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork
o Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on Excel
o Pass the required drug test (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)

PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
o CPA certification with prior work experience in public accounting
o Previous experience using PeopleSoft systems
o Previous experience using OneStream software
o Previous experience using Blackline software

COMPENSATION:
The base pay range for this position is $90,000 - 112,500. In addition to base pay, this position is also eligible for a bonus and/or commission.
