Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a startup environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• SaaS / B2B background strongly preferred.
• Strong accounts payable experience and solid understanding of GAAP.
• AI-forward and process-oriented mindset with eagerness to innovate using new tools.
• Capacity to operate in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment.
• Familiarity with AI-native finance tools; Campfire and Ramp experience is a plus.
• Bay Area based, with in-office work on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and alternating Mondays.

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle accounts payable, managing vendor relationships and payment processes.
• Execute month-end close processes, ensuring accuracy through journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Manage the general ledger and chart of accounts in Campfire.
• Leverage AI tools to enhance and automate accounting processes.
• Develop and refine accounting policies, processes, and internal controls as the company scales.
• Oversee expense management and corporate card processes, ensuring adherence to company policy.
• Support payroll, financial reporting and prepare materials for leadership review.
• Coordinate annual audits and tax preparation in collaboration with external accountants.
