About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced, hands-on Accounting Manager to own and evolve the accounting function at Ent. This is a build role: you'll run our day-to-day operations and close the books today, while shaping the processes, controls, and systems that will scale with us. We're looking for someone with a strong accounting foundation who can connect the dots across the books, and who is excited by an AI-forward finance stack.
What You'll Achieve- Own full-cycle accounts payable, including vendor management, approvals, and payments.
- Run the month-end close end to end - journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations - connecting the dots across the books to deliver accurate, timely financials.
- Own the general ledger and chart of accounts within Campfire
- Continuously ask "how can AI make this easier?" using our AI-native tooling to automate and streamline close, AP, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Establish, document, and evolve accounting policies, processes, and internal controls as the company scales.
- Administer expense management and corporate cards (Ramp), enforcing policy and reviewing reimbursements.
- Support payroll, financial reporting, and the preparation of materials for leadership.
- Coordinate the annual audit, tax preparation, and compliance filings in partnership with external accountants.
What You'll Bring- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a start up
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required).
- SaaS / B2B background strongly preferred.
- Strong accounts payable experience and solid working knowledge of GAAP.
- An AI-forward, process-oriented mindset energized by new tools and eager to ask how AI can make the work easier.
- Comfortable operating with ambiguity and change in a fast-moving, early-stage environment.
- Familiarity with modern, AI-native ERP and finance tooling; experience with Campfire and Ramp is a plus.
- Bay Area based, able to work in-office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and every other Monday
