Accounting Manager

Job Description Summary
The Accounting Manager will lead the Americas Record to Report team for guidance and activities primarily focusing on occupancy, fixed assets, CCA's (Cloud Computing Arrangements), prepaids and management reporting related to Cushman & Wakefield's largest and most profitable region. He/she will be accountable for the financial integrity, reporting and presentation of financial information relating to these key areas. This financial leader will evaluate, redesign and initiate new processes to align with existing systems and processes performed both within the company and the outsourced Finance Service Center (FSC) activities managed by Accenture. He/she will contribute to the development and maintenance of a robust controls environment which facilitates compliance with GAAP and Company accounting policies.
Job Description

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage the monthly financial close activities for the US with regards to areas of focus within the record to report function with a primary focus on occupancy, fixed assets and management reporting
  • Partner with global controllership and FP&A teams to drive effective coordination and communication throughout the monthly close process
  • Redesign, refine and document processes to improve the accuracy and timeliness of the financial close
  • Partner with and be the main liaison to the Accenture outsourcing team on record to report accounting procedures and the monthly close process (including review and approval of related activities) as well as provide oversight for account reconciliations
  • Assist in the development of key internal controls and effective accounting policies in accordance with GAAP and industry best practices
  • Effectively utilize the Company's financial reporting tools (Workday, Salesforce, Peoplesoft, and HFM) to improve the efficiency of the monthly close processes
  • Actively participate in the Company's internal and external audits to support timely and accurate completions of audits
  • Support an effective and positive team culture, collaborating with internal and external customers
  • As applicable, support acquisition integration and special projects

The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.

The compensation for the position is: $ 97,750.00 - $115,000.00
