We're looking for an Accounting Manager who is excited to be part of a dynamic engineering environment where innovation, automation, and hands-on manufacturing come together. Based in our Ambler, PA office, you'll support a team delivering complex electrical system designs and custom control panel solutions through our in-house panel shop.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Lead all accounting operations for the Ambler office, including planning, directing, and coordinating financial activities.
  • Manage accounts receivable (AR) reporting and collection processes to support project cash flow.
  • Coordinate accounts payable (AP) activities with the home office accounting team.
  • Prepare and deliver accurate financial reports for both internal leadership and corporate stakeholders.
  • Support invoicing and project billing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Partner closely with engineering and project management teams to provide project-level financial reporting and insights.
  • Develop, manage, and track annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor business performance metrics and provide recommendations to improve financial and operational outcomes.
  • Evaluate accounting processes and internal controls; implement improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the Ambler office and corporate accounting teams.
  • Support large project bids by providing financial insight and analysis as needed.
  • Ensure continuity of operations by supporting and backing up all accounting team responsibilities.
  • Provide hands-on support for timekeeping, expense reporting, and P-card management when needed.

Team Leadership Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team.
  • Support employee development through performance reviews, coaching, and career planning.
  • Coordinate training and development opportunities to build team capability.
  • Partner with leadership and HR on workforce planning, recruiting, and staffing needs.
  • Participate in hiring processes, including candidate evaluation and interviews.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership and HR on employee relations and team performance matters.
  • Review and approve team schedules, including vacation and overhead time.
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performance team environment.

What You'll Need to Be Successful

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of accounting experience, including leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Experience in engineering, construction, manufacturing, or project-based industries preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in financial data and reporting.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word required.
  • Strong sense of ownership, initiative, and accountability.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and corporate teams.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, in-office position based in Ambler, Pennsylvania. This role supports a highly collaborative office environment, including close interaction with engineering teams and our in-house panel shop operations. Minimal travel is expected.

Physical Demands

This is primarily a sedentary role; however, occasional filing and handling of documents may be required. This includes the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, bend, and stand as needed.
